The Meeting Place

A Pre-Vocational & Drop-In Program

The Meeting Place is a team of highly motivated individuals dedicated to the rehabilitation and recovery of those persons with mental illness. The strength of the program is the commitment to the shared responsibility of staff and members working side by side, to create an environment in which members can find meaningful structure and support, develop vocational skills, and participate in a community of peers.

Members are provided a range of services to assist them in developing job preparation and life skills in Pre-Vocational and Drop-In programs. These might include improving cognitive functioning, learning work skills, work habits and behaviors, and developing social skills. This is accomplished through work units and supportive groups.
