For nearly 100 years, Peninsula Counseling Center has helped to restore new meaning and satisfaction to the lives of thousands of people. Established in 1913 as the Relief Association of Lawrence, Peninsula Counseling Center is one of the oldest and larges Mental Health Counseling Services on Long Island. An affiliate of North Shore-LIJ Health System, Peninsula Counseling Center is licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health and the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services.
Our professional staff of psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, psychiatric nurses, vocational rehabilitation counselors and social workers provides caring and confidential counseling for people of all ages. Our multilingual counselors provide services in seven languages including Gaelic, Hebrew, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Yiddish.
